Three contraceptive methods that rarely fail

If you’re looking for effective birth control, these three methods are highly reliable in preventing unwanted pregnancies. However, keep in mind that not every method is suitable for everyone, and some require a medical consultation before use.

1. Condom

Condoms are easily available at pharmacies and supermarkets, offering dual protection against pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). To ensure effectiveness, open the package carefully, apply it correctly, and avoid sharp objects or nails that could tear it.

2. Diaphragm

A diaphragm is a flexible cup inserted into the vagina to block sperm from reaching the egg. It must be used with spermicide for maximum effectiveness. When used correctly, it has only a 6% failure rate, but it does not protect against STIs.

3. Birth Control Pill

The pill is one of the most popular contraceptive methods, as it not only prevents pregnancy but also regulates the menstrual cycle. However, it must be taken at the same time every day for full effectiveness. Important: Consult a doctor before starting, as the pill does not protect against STIs.

Tip: If you forget to take a pill for more than 12 hours, use an additional contraceptive method for 7 days.
