Stepping into a different vibe, rapper Kayode launches the track “Hotel” this Tuesday (11/14), in collaboration with Sotam. The single, produced by Ramiro Quai, is now available on digital platforms. The music video will premiere on the artist’s YouTube channel at 3 PM.
The song presents an unprecedented aesthetic for those who have followed the artist’s more recent years in his career. Recognized for delivering protest and empowerment music, Kayode challenged himself with this new track. “Given its characteristics of more impactful and reflective verses, I wanted to prove to myself and the audience that I can be a more relaxed, fun, and celebratory Kayode.”
In a great moment after the viral success of the song “3AM,” with over 25 million plays on Spotify, rapper Sotam adds a high-spirited energy to the track. “I met him in 2021 and already noticed his great artistic ability. This was further confirmed in this track because it has a unique base within the national scene. Sotam managed to reproduce the vibe of the music in a very creative way, which is what I admire most about him,” says Kayode.

Directed by Pedro Ferraro and produced by Yalla Recordings, the music video follows the rappers enjoying a party at a luxury hotel. This is the second single from “Flow da Pele Deluxe,” the highly anticipated project that follows the award-winning album from 2022. In August, the rapper released the track “Superpoderes” in collaboration with Rincon SapiĂŞncia.
“Hotel” marks the artist’s first release after being nominated for the Grammy Latino. Nominated in the category of Best Short Form Music Video for the “Podcast/Pedra da MemĂłria” music video, Kayode heads to Seville for the Latin Recording Academy awards ceremony, which takes place on November 16.

“It’s surreal that we’ve reached this level with my first studio album. We set the bar high, but I continue with the same mindset, aiming to share our message with as many people as possible,” he adds.
