Blackened thrashers Eternal Drak release new video and tour dates

Quebec’s own extreme‑metal outfit Eternal Drak has just dropped the official video for “We Force It To Speak” the opening track of their brand‑new sixth studio album, The Violence of Time. The release comes alongside a Canadian tour that will see the band hit three major Quebec venues before the year ends. With a sound that fuses raw thrash, black‑metal atmospherics and death‑metal brutality, Eternal Drak is poised to give fans a fresh take on the concept of time as a hostile force.

Released on July 17, 2026, The Violence of Time is a ten‑track assault that interrogates the very nature of reality. According to lead songwriter Andres Martinez Torres (Drakar), the album “frames time as something that ‘does not flow; it imposes… it does not reveal meaning; it destroys it.’” Each song is described as a “violent thesis” that demolishes traditional notions of past, present and future, and the record is built for fans of Dimmu Borgir, Watain, Kreator, Motörhead and Desaster.

Music and production

Eternal Drak’s new material is a masterclass in blending analog aggression with modern digital density. The album opens with a brooding acoustic passage that quickly devolves into a wall of distortion, mirroring the lyrical theme that “truth isn’t discovered; it’s enforced.” The production balances the rawness of early thrash with the polished heaviness of contemporary death‑metal, creating a sound that feels both nostalgic and forward‑looking.

Video release

The music video for “We Force It To Speak” can be watched on YouTube. The clip juxtaposes bleak, dystopian imagery with the song’s shifting textures, delivering a visceral visual counterpart to the album’s conceptual core.
